Providing Theological and Biblical training and quality medical care in La Ceiba, Honduras.

Mission to the World (MTW) La Ceiba Medical provides much needed medical care and attention to the most needy in La Ceiba.  Led by our medical director, Roger Guillén,  MTW La Ceiba Medical seeks to give dignity to each patient as an image bearer by taking the time to listen and get to know each patient.  Maximum numbers are never the goal.   Yet, through mobile clinics offered in cooperation with location churches and the rural clinic, Arbol de Vida (Tree of Life), nearly 100 patients receive care each week that would either be unavailable or unaffordable otherwise.  Renee has been able to focus on cardiac care, a nearly nonexistent speciality in Northern Honduras.   With the need for medical care and services continuing to increase, MTW La Ceiba Medical is looking to expand in 2016.  We are in the process of funding a fully outfitted lab as well as finishing the construction of the downtown clinic.  To learn about about funding those projects, click here.

Theological & Biblical Training

For most current and would be pastors and church leaders in Northern Honduras there is little to no access to education and training.   Be it cost, distance, or the realities of providing for a family most leaders cannot attend what little options for professional growth do exist.  Seth and our team are seeking to address this by providing affordable, accessible Biblical and Theological education for current and future church leaders.  Using resources from Third Millennium Ministries while also developing our own courses, the La Ceiba Bible Institute is able to offer a broad spectrum of Biblical, Theological, and practical classes.  To learn more about how to be involved in supporting the Institute or how to be involved in the construction of the building, click here.

Church Planting, Revitalization, & Resourcing

Along with the educational aspect of developing current churches, we long to see gospel centered, kingdom minded churches grow throughout the region.  An important component of this is providing largely unavailable resources (books, Sunday School materials, worship music, small group studies, etc) to a wide variety of churches in the area.  This resource center and library will be a part of the offerings at the Bible Institute.  Additionally, we are specifically partnering with some existing churches and planting new ones in neighborhoods without a church presence.  We currently have 3 such partnerships/plants underway with more in the planning stage for 2016.  As a part of this overall effort, we are in the beginning stages of a financial and vocational development program to move these churches and leaders toward greater financial freedom and longevity in a way that will be a blessing and resource to their respective communities.
